Carolina COVID-19 Student Services Corps (Carolina CSSC)
The Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice is seeking student volunteers for the Carolina Covid-19 Student Services Corps (CSSC). The Carolina CSSC is an opportunity for student volunteers to engage in service activities to address the specific needs of UNC Chapel Hill students, faculty, and staff, as well as our surrounding community.
Goals of Carolina CSSC:
- Create a centralized organizational structure at UNC-CH that facilitates coordination across various academic and healthcare sectors to mitigate challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Identify volunteer and service-learning activities across our campus that will support our community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Increase the capability and capacity of UNC-CH to connect students with volunteer opportunities. This is especially important for students interested in a career in healthcare who have not had the opportunity to volunteer or shadow during this time or to complete service learning activities.
The Carolina CSSC is an adaptation of CSSC National at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and is in partnership with many stakeholders across UNC-CH.
How YOU can help:
By volunteering, you will enhance the university’s ability to provide essential services that will help keep our campus and surrounding community safe.
This opportunity is especially well suited for students interested in a career in healthcare who have not had the opportunity to volunteer or shadow during this time or to complete service learning activities.
