DEAH DAY 2019 is taking place Saturday, October 5th. DEAH DAY is a day of service meant to honor the lives of Deah, Yusor, and Razan, started by dental students in 2015. This year, DEAH DAY will be open to the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, and Allied Health to participate, in hopes of reaching more of our community than ever before.

The Student Executive Committee for IPE proudly presents the first annual IPE movie night!
Join students from across campus to view Deej and take part in a moving conversation. Deej is about a child living with autism who wants to help children like him by showing people what a nonspeaking student with autism can do. A panel discussion will follow the screening and pizza will be provided!
First year professional students are invited to participate in a book discussion on developing a growth mindset with other students from across the professional schools.
You have the option to read Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise by Anders Ericsson and Robert Pool and/or Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth. The library currently has Peak available as an ebook and is working on obtaining a copy of Grit.

The Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPEP) is hosting a book discussion on growth mindset for faculty on Wednesday, September 11 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Health Sciences Library. In addition, the Office is holding book discussion for first year students on Thursday, September 12 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
All book discussions will involve the books Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise by Anders Ericsson and Robert Pool and Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth.
